On 27 April, husband and wife team Dan & Roz Mason and close family members Rich and Si (AKA The Coastbusters!) will be taking part in the Plymouth Half Marathon. This is the latest in a long line of fundraising challenges undertaken by Dan, and yet another chapter in his inspiring story.
Back in 2007 Dan was diagnosed with a rare and inoperable malignant brain tumour. In the summer of 2008 he suffered a subachronoid brain haemorrhage hospitalising him for over a week., and In 2009 Dan underwent a 6 week course of radiotherapy. Over this time and since he has carried on his every day working life as a physical training instructor in the army, refusing to let his medical condition get in his way.
Dan describes Smile4Wessex as "a wonderful charity that is very close to our hearts".
