The Barratt Homes Relay Marathon returns for the 9th year on Sunday 21st May 2023.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Romsey Test, the Marathon is a unique community event held in the spring of each year, on the Broadlands Estate. Open to the whole community, the event raises funds and awareness for local charities, and we'd love you to choose to do this for Smile4Wessex.
The Relay Marathon gives an opportunity for anyone to take part in a team of up to 10 runners who will collectively run 26miles and 385yards. Each runner will run two circuits of 1.3 miles to complete their leg of the course before handing the baton to their teammate.
The 26.2 mile marathon route takes you through the beautiful Broadlands Park estate in Romsey where you will enjoy walled gardens, woodland, the beautiful river Test, atmospheric derelict farm buildings, bluebell woods, and much more.
On the picturesque parkland, you will also see Broadlands house, which is a fine example of mid-Georgian English architecture. Its owners and many of its important visitors have helped to shape the course of history. Today it is a working estate and the family home of the Mountbatten family.
