Congratulations to Terry Bates, Ellie Bates and Simon Horspool on their successful completion of the 3 Peaks Challenge over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Having first scaled Ben Nevis on Sunday, they moved on to Scafell Pike (which was climbed in darkness) and finally to Snowdon, where they finished on Monday morning. Tired but elated is probably the best way to describe their feelings as they enjoyed a glass of bubbly to celebrate their achievement, and looked forward to a long soak in a hot bath.
Neil Westbrook was there to greet them at the finish line at Pen-y-Pass, and to take the photo shown here (note Simon has already removed his walking boots!), but we hope to add some photos from their ascents of the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales - just as soon as they wake up and send us the pics!
