We have been closely following David Allens "Six Decade Challenge" over the past few weeks and were so pleased to hear he safely touched down, completing his series of events with a 13,000ft skydive with the Red Devils on the 26th June.

His unique approach to fundraising has seen him complete a total of six challenges over the course of six weeks, perfectly time to commence following the celebration of his 59th birthday and the beginning of the last year of his 6th decade! 

Having suffered a huge aneurysm and sub-arachnoid haemorrhage, which subsequently lead to a stroke and complications including menigitis and epilepsy in 2008, David firmly believes that he owes the last 10 years of his life to the brilliant team at the Wessex Neurological Centre and he has been a dedicated supported of Smile4Wessex since these life changing events.

Having previously completed a triathlon and shaving his hair and beard off, his most recent journey has taken him on a 60 length swim, a 50 mile cycle ride, providing 40 vegan lunches serving his legendary homemade "nutty burgers", a 30 minute stand up show at St Bartholomew's Church in Shapwick, a 20 mile walk and a grand finalé which sent him soaring to dizzy heights in the skies over Old Sarum.
