When Judith and her brother Jeremy take on the Race to the King ultra marathon on the 23rd and 24th of June, they do so in support of the tireless care received by Ben Watson and his family at the Wessex Neurologial Centre.
Ben was an active 26 year old young man when he collapsed in 2015 following a normal bout of flu and was transferred to the Wessex Neurological Centre, where he spent two weeks in a semi-coma. Following five weeks in hospital and a further three weeks in a Specialist Rehabilitation Unit, this has been, and continues to be, a long and emotional road for Ben and all his family.
As long standing friends of the family, Judith and Jeremy will embark on this epic challenge across the South Downs in June. Our sincere thanks to them both for their support and to Jeremy's company, Capsicum Re, who have pledge to match funds raised.
